Thank you very much Rosy.

I reached out to Robert Hynes about a year ago after spending thousands of dollars on five different dog trainers only to end up further from what I truly wanted. Nothing was working. Now, I no longer carry treats or rely on tools to control and manage my dogs. Instead, I finally have what I always wanted: a true companion, Mans Best Friend. Finding Robert when I did was life-changing, and I will be forever grateful.

Rosy and Choppa.

Thank you very much Shelley.

Hubby and I rescued 2 kelpie litter mates at 8.5 weeks old. We’ve owned dogs before (and had a senior smaller breed at the time), but the 2 young high-energy pups were even tougher than we imagined. To say it was challenging is an understatement. Since they were a larger breed, we assumed they needed to be “trained” so they would be obedient and under our control. We were also convinced from everyone that being a high-energy breed, they needed constant exercise and mental stimulation. All I ever really wanted was for them to be confident, happy and able to come anywhere with us without any stress or worry. We started with positive reinforcement training, thinking we were doing the best thing. When that was failing, we moved to quadrant training and sought the help of a local trainer (we only had one consult and although it felt reassuring at the time, in the end it proved very little use at all).

I spent all my spare time madly learning/researching everything I could get my hands on to help our puppies who were very sensitive and anxious, and had become reactive to many different triggers. It took until their first birthday before I realised we were focusing in the wrong direction, and we needed to be working on the relationship in order to build their confidence (not training games or exercises). Nearly 6 months on, we’re still learning and working on things, but have seen a dramatic improvement in all areas of life with our dogs.

Everything is finally falling into place, and I now have a much greater understanding of why dogs behave as they do, and how to help them overcome whatever it is they’re struggling with. We have learned so much thanks to Robert, his FB group and blog (alongside some coaching from another relationship-based dog expert). I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the knowledge I’ve acquired over the past 6 months and am confident that things are only going to get better and better as time goes on. Thank you so much Robert!

Many Thanks and Kind Regards,
Shelley
