You Really Need An E-Collar To Train Recall…

Really? I have never used any treats on any of my dogs. I have never used an e-collar to get my dog to recall. I’ve never used a prong. I’ve never used a muzzle and I’ve never locked my dogs in a crate.

If people haven’t figured it out yet – all of the tools mentioned above are part and parcel of Schutzhund – now knows as IGP Dog Training – the sport of obedience, tracking and protection. Why is IGP in the behaviour ring at all?

Here’s the fruit – the outcome of what I push. I dare any trainer – get rid of all your treats and tools and prove that you can “train” a dog for anything.

If you can’t – when all of your tools are taken away – then you are nothing more than a fraud.
